Advisory Electronics Recycling Task Force
The Advisory Electronics Recycling Task Force is a group established under the Consumer Electronics Recycling Act (CERA) to guide and strengthen Illinois’ electronics recycling program. It is composed of representatives from county recycling programs, recycling companies, manufacturers, retailers, and waste disposal associations, ensuring a broad range of industry and community perspectives. The Task Force plays a critical role in developing best practices for collection sites and events, advising on program improvements, and promoting education and awareness for residents. By bringing together key stakeholders, the Task Force helps maintain compliance, preserve existing collection networks, and advance the state’s goals for safe, accessible, and environmentally responsible electronics recycling.
