The Illinois Electronics Collector Best Practices document provides clear guidance for collectors participating in the state’s electronics recycling program. Developed by the Illinois Advisory Electronic Task Force and reviewed annually, these practices ensure safe handling, proper packaging, and secure transportation of covered electronic devices (CEDs) collected from residents. To be allowed to participate in the public E-Waste Program Plans, Collectors are required to follow the Illinois Electronics Collectors Best Practices Nov 2022 (Reviewed and approved with no edits, October 2023).
