Internship Information for Educators
The Illinois EPA funds a scholarship for students, as well as providing a grant for educators.
- The Engineering, Science and Law Internship program is a summer internship program for college students with a background in biological sciences, physical sciences, chemistry, engineering, environmental education and law, who are interested in a career in public service. The focus of this 12-week paid internship is to provide students with experience in the duties and assignments of our engineering, remedial management, laboratory and legal staff and how this work is integral to the protection and betterment of Illinois' environment.
- Illinois EPA partners with the University of Illinois at Springfield in the Graduate Public Service Internship Program. The GPSI program matches graduate students with state government offices to provide a paid internship and tuition waiver while pursuing their Master’s degree at UIS.
