greenhouse gases

Why are CO2, methane, and N2O now showing up on the report?

With issues of global warming becoming more and more prevalent, the Illinois EPA is undertaking the compilation of a greenhouse gas emission inventory for carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and nitrous oxide (N2O). Emissions for these pollutants have been precalculated for you based on other information

you have previously submitted.

Emission factors for these pollutants for common equipment can be found in Appendix E of the short instructions or Appendix F of the long instructions. Reporting these emissions (other than those sources already required to report methane emissions) is completely optional. Your help in compiling an accurate greenhouse gas inventory is appreciated.
