Certification Board
The Wastewater Board of Certification’s purpose is to advise the Agency on wastewater certification matters, including certification sanction cases and Agency procedures/rules pertaining to wastewater certification. It is comprised of 10 individuals representing wastewater operators, municipal government, wastewater agencies, industry, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, and the Agency. The Agency representative is a non-voting member. Each voting member serves a 3 year term. The terms are staggered so that only 3 expire in any given calendar year. Members of the Board of Certification are to report opinions and comments from those they represent regarding wastewater certification to the Agency and the Board of Certification, report Board of Certification activities and decisions to those they represent, provide advice to the Agency regarding wastewater certification policy, and to attend Board of Certification meetings.
