Enforcement Orders
The Illinois EPA developed this web page to provide ready access to information on its environmental enforcement activities. The Illinois EPA’s Bureaus of Air, Land, and Water are responsible for the consideration and issuance of Compliance Commitment Agreements to resolve appropriate non-compliance matters. The Illinois EPA's Division of Legal Counsel is responsible for the development and coordination of formal enforcement cases in conjunction with Illinois EPA activities.
Included on this site are Compliance Commitment Agreements, interim and final orders obtained, beginning with calendar year 2002, through the Illinois Attorney General's office or other prosecuting authority, settlement and administrative citation orders with the Illinois Pollution Control Board, USEPA Administrative Orders where Illinois EPA is a signatory, appellate decisions, and federal court orders. Each record is indexed by case-specific information, and a searchable summary field is also given for each case.
