NuMat Technologies partners with US Army (RDECOM C&B Center) with $800,000 Illinois Clean Energy Innovation Fund investment. Manufacturing to be located in Illinois. 

Battery technology developer SiNode Systems announces joint venture NanoGraf Corporation.  The company headquartered in Chicago had an early $300,000 investment from Illinois Clean Energy Innovation Fund.   

​​Evergreen Climate Innovations (formerly Clean Energy Trust) manages the Illinois Clean Energy Innovation Fund, a revolving investment fund seeded by a grant from the State of Illinois and the U.S. Department of Energy. Money from the Fund has been invested in high-potential, early-stage Illinois-based cleantech companies.

The Fund is designed to recycle returns on investments into new investments. The goal is to create an “evergreen” funding model that can persist into the future and provide needed early-stage capital to promising cleantech ventures.
