Energy Efficiency Assessment Program

The Energy Efficiency Assessment Program awards funding to public housing authorites, local governments, or nonprofit organizations to conduct energy efficiency assessments at eligible properties - i.e. single family or duplex residences in areas of environmental justice concern. Awards will range from $5,000 to $25,000. A completed energy efficiency assessment is a criteria item of the Energy Efficiency Trust Fund Grant Program. 

Energy Efficiency Trust Fund Grant Program

Illinois EPA Office of Energy intends to award funding to public housing authorities, units of local government (municipalities, counties, or townships), or nonprofit organizations for implementation of energy efficiency improvements benefiting residents receiving housing assistance from a state or federal program. Funding will be awarded to single family or duplex residential properties located in an area of environmental justice concern. For more information, visit Energy Efficiency Trust Fund Grant Program. Office of Energy programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Energy State Energy Program and state trust funds established by 20 ILCS 687/6-6 and 20 ILCS 687/6-4. All Illinois EPA Office of Energy programs and projects are designed to meet one or more of the following priorities:
